Dr. Mohammed N. Abdulrazaq Alshekhly is a distinguished Associate Professor within the College of Engineering and concurrently serves as the Chair of the University Research Council at Gulf University. He holds a visiting professorship at the Management and Sciences University (MSU) in Malaysia. Dr. Mohammed was awarded his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Malaysia in 2015. His research expertise spans several critical areas, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Renewable Energy, Metal Processing, and Smart Cities, where he has made significant scholarly contributions. To date, his work has garnered over 2200 citations, evidencing his substantial impact on these fields, alongside achieving an h-index of 24 and an i10-index of 51. Dr. Mohammed’s academic output is prolific, with more than 225 publications to his name. This extensive body of work includes patents, books, book chapters, and numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals and conference proceedings. His mentorship extends to the guidance of over fifty postgraduate and undergraduate students, including twenty-three at the postgraduate level, with seven Ph.D. and sixteen Master's students, and more than thirty at the undergraduate level. His contributions to the academic and scientific communities are further demonstrated through his active memberships in several international scientific associations such as the American Society for Metals (ASM) in the USA, the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) in Sweden, the Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society in Hong Kong, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the USA. Dr. Mohammed has also played pivotal roles as an editor and peer-reviewer for various international journals, chaired organizing committees for scientific gatherings, and engaged in numerous international scientific associations. The international academic and scientific communities have recognized Dr. Mohammed's contributions with more than 40 awards and honors, highlighting his extensive influence and dedication to advancing knowledge in his fields of expertise.
